Unlike non-organic, which uses 2lbs of chemicals to produce 1lb of cotton, organic cotton uses only natural fertilizers. Fields are hand weeded and no chemicals are used to destroy predator insects.
To be Skal Certified organic cotton, fields must be chemical free for at least three years, including no run-off from surrounding areas where chemicals might be used. These towels meet the highest standards for certified organic cotton by Skal International testing. And at 600gsm they are as comfortable and luxurious as they are environmentally sound.
