Earthsake Crib Mattress CHOICES:

The Quilted Sky is hand-crafted from PureGrow Wool and Organic Cotton. It has a tempered 180 coil count steel innerspring layered with Organic Cotton then wrapped in PureGrow Wool. The layers are quilted to a cover of soft Organic Cotton. NO bleaches, dyes, fire-retardants (PDBE's) or silicate barriers that may be found in other mattresses that claim to be "natural" or "organic". Organic Cotton has absolutely no pesticides, and our PureGrow Wool is naturally fire retardant. Completely natural and healthy for baby!

The Quilted Solstice is our 100% Natural Latex alternative covered in Organic Cotton and PureGrow Wool quilting. Its ideal for parents that don't want a mattress with a metal innerspring - the pinnacle of safety and comfort for baby! Latex offers exceptional support and cushioning without sags or depressions and is moisture resistant. Natural latex has anti-allergic properties - it resists mold and dust!

The Cloud Crib Mattress is currently unavailable pending design review.  It is hand-crafted from PureGrow Wool and Organic Cotton. Complete with a hand-tufted, hand-crafted finish.  The Sky is the closest option with the same great ingredients.  The Sky is simply Quilted and flat on top (like most crib mattresses) versus the hand tufted cloud-like design. 

Please note: The $11 "California Recycle Fee" is now required by law for each new mattress and boxspring/foundation unit sold in California.  It is used to fund the Used Mattress Recycling & Recovery program.  This program was designed by the State of California to keep used mattresses out of our landfills and recycled into other useful products instead. After picking the perfect all natural, healthy mattress from Earthsake for your baby - DON'T put a toxin-filled plastic or vinyl cover on it for waterproofing and protection!! Instead - use one of our all natural PureGrow Wool puddle pads below for all natural -chemical free protection! Choose a Quilted puddle pad for a little extra comfort too - the all natural way. Additional Care: 

Alternate turning mattress from end to end and flipping mattress side to side every 2 weeks for the first 2 months. Turn once every 4-6 months thereafter.

Vacuum and Air – vacuum and/or air regularly which helps the natural fibers breathe.

Stains – Are best removed by simple spot cleaning. Apply a solution of 1:3 parts white distilled vinegar and water (you may also use a natural detergent to spot clean). Spray the solution on the spot, then allow to dry completely. If possible, moving the mattress into the sun to dry is most advantageous.

To insure proper ventilation always support mattress/foundation with a proper support system. Ideal support systems are boxsprings or slat systems. If you are placing mattress on plywood or solid surface, it is advisable that the surface be perforated for proper airflow. King/CA-King size bed-frames should have a center support system. Do not place mattress or foundation directly on the floor or on/in damp locations. 

Do not use the handles when flipping or lifting mattress – handles are designed to guide the mattress into place after flipping. They cannot support the mattress’s weight and will detach if you try to lift the mattress with them.

Our local Pure-Grow WoolTM comes from sheep raised on free-ranges of organic land. It is carded on a machine that runs only this 100% pure chemical-free wool.  That keeps out all possible cross contamination of chemicals or impurities. The wool is removed in a single fleece and placed on the skirting table; there it is inspected for length, strength, dirt and pests. Care is taken to keep the wool as clean as possible during shearing thereby eliminating any need for chemical treatments to remove burrs, brands, dirt and other impurities. This process keeps our wool optimized for resiliency, and springiness without adding oils. Unlike some other "organic" wools - our Pure & Local PureGrow Wool is never carbonized or dipped or treated after it is released for manufacturing or during the manufacturing process.   As such, our final product contains one of the purest & most natural forms of wool in the entire world!!

DELIVERY OPTIONS:
Earthsake offers GROUND delivery service for Cribs.  The rates/ETA depend on your location from Berkeley, CA.  USA Flat rates based on time zone (Western rates = Pacific & Mountain Time Zones).   All services are provided by a third party shipper/delivery team or freight carrier.  Choose the service that best fits your needs.  Delivery rates may incur additional fees. These are not earthSake fees.

• A Non-Standard Delivery/Pick-up Charge starting at $30 will apply whenever a delivery/pick-up outside the "Normal Business Hours" is requested: Normal Business Hours are Mon-Fri, excluding national and state holidays, between the hours of 8am and 5pm.
• Saturday or Sunday delivery/pick-up rates if needed are available by quote only - call us to inquire.
• Mattress storage is free for the first 10 days. Mattress storage is $10 per item per day beginning on the 11th day. 
• Mattress delivery charges are not subject to any coupons or discounts. 
• Removal of an old mattress or mattress set is not always available - call us to inquire.

Custom made to order - Allow 4 weeks for production then up to 2 weeks for delivery.  You can call us to inquire about an ETA for your order. After your items are produced you will be contacted with a tracking number.

All Crib mattresses come with a standard pro-rated 10-year mattress manufacturers warranty covering any manufacturing defects. They are also insured to cover any damages caused during a home delivery. Once signed by the receiving party, the responsibility of proper care is yours.
