The washable (and fully customizable) wool filled organic pillow is here.  Soft and down-like with a luxurious organic knit cover available too.  If you must have a machine washable pillow - you've found it. 

This wooly bolas pillow is one of the rare pillows that you can put in the washing machine (on soak only/no agitation) and Dryer (on Air Dry Only - No Heat).  And they are adjustable like all of our organic filled pillows.  Need it firmer? Add some fill. Need it softer? Take some out. Your pillow is always just right! A fully adjustable pillow!

The washable wool pillow features little clusters of organic wool bolas that are made specifically to make them washable and we can special order this fill for you from the manufacturer producing it.  The fill is then encased in a zippered organic cotton sateen case.  You can also get an optional outer envelope case in a beautiful organic cotton knit.  The Organic Wool Bolas provides an optimum fluff and density for a pillow. The bolas is also known as "wool down" or "wooley puffs" but made to be washable by one specific processor/suplier (so it's a little more expensive than our other wool filled pillows).   All covers and fill are machine washable.  Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth. Made in the USA.


Our other pillows with cotton, wool or kapok fill are also fully adjustable inside a zippered case. You can remove some fill to your comfort level an add it back if the pillow naturally compresses over time to always keep the loft you prefer.   Our pillows come with a generous amount of fill, but if you need more, you can buy extra fill. The advantage of this particular Wooly Bolas pillow is the washability of the fill made by a specific mfg we can get the fill from and make you the perfect washable wool pillow (by special order only - this custom made pillow is not available in our earthsake retail store).

For ease of care - simply get a washable Knit or sateen pillow cover and wash the cover not the pillow. Pillow protectors like these are a fantastic way to protect your pillow so you won't need to wash it.

To machine wash this pillow you must follow the specific washing instructions only to use the soak setting (no agitation) and Air-Dry Dryer setting (no heat).    Even then we simply don't recommend machine washing pillows.  Viewing our other pillows explains why machine washing is not needed and how to best protect and care for pillows.   However, if you must use a washing machine for this pillow it must be on a setting that has no agitation (soak only) and Dryer Setting on Air Dry Only (No Heat).    For ease of care - simply get a washable Knit or sateen pillow cover and wash the cover not the pillow.
